Allevyn: a layer of soft, hydrophilic polyurethane foam, bonded to a semipermeable polyurethane film which provides an effective barrier to water or wound exudate and also prevents the passage of microorganisms through the back of the dressing. The wound contact surface of the dressing is covered with a perforated film.
